about

On March 3, 2004 we were honored to play the main stage at the annual BajaProg Music Festival, Teatro Del Estado in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico. We were there to support our special friends Richard Sinclair (Hatfield & The North, Caravan, Caravan of Dreams, Camel, Wilde Flowers) and Elaine Di Falco (Thinking Plague, Caveman Shoestore, Hughscore, 3 Mice, Combat Astonomy).

Two years earlier we played BajaProg's smaller stage-without special guests-at the Hotel Araiza Mexicali (March 6, 2002):

How it came about:
"In 2002 Glass was fortunate enough to be part of the "Progman Cometh" concert in Seattle.

We got to meet many of our childhood Canterbury Music heroes including the amazing Richard Sinclair and the late great Phil Miller. The following year these two Titans of Canterbury returned for Progman Cometh 2003, just as Glass was finishing up sessions for our "Illuminations" album.

What an honor it was to get to record with those guys! And strong friendships were formed. So strong that Richard allowed us to back him up the following year at BajaProg 2004. We rented a beach house here in Ventura and Richard & Elaine spent a week with us there rehearsing and generally just enjoying ourselves. Every morning Rich would get up and make us an English Breakfast - what great memories. It was Canterbury Music Heaven as Richard regaled us with so many stories about the "good old days" with Caravan, Camel, Soft Machine and so much more. It was truly a high water point in our careers. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did making it. For all too brief a period, the legendary Richard Sinclair was a member of Glass. . ."

"For BajaProg 2004 there were 20 Bands/Artists playing. At the Theatre played: Anekdoten, Arti e Mestieri, Cast, Deux Ex Machina, IQ, Jaime Rosas Trio, KBB, Kotebel, Matraz, Richard Sinclair with Glass & Friends, Pocos e Nuvens, and Softworks.
And at the Hotel were: JJ. KAS, Clearlight, Equilibrio Vital, Forever Twelve, Guillermo Cides, Kre, Oxygene 8, and Psicotropia.
I think in this edition there was a mixture of different styles, all well received. I can say that I had no surprises with the bands I didn't know, they were just fine. Maybe just give a special mention to Matraz (and its excellent guitarist Claudio Cordero). But, on the other hand, with those that I knew, everyone was Great, 'specially those who played at the Theater. And if you force me to choose one day, that would be Friday, the day KBB, Deux Ex Machina and Softworks played.
Arti e Mestieri, IQ, Anekdoten, just without words 'cause I'm fan of this music, amazing. And the chance to see the greatests Richard Sinclair and Softworks! Clap!"
I want to share with you these complete performances:
